Credit card fraud prevention for merchants: BIN Database
A strong way to make sure a card is being used legitimately is to look it up in a BIN system. BIN is short for Bank Identification Number. It’s commonly used interchangeably with INN, which stands for Issuer Identification Number. Both of the acronyms refer to the first six numbers on the front of your credit card. A BIN system can provide merchants with the information they need to stop unwanted fraudulent activity.
